PSILOCYBIN SERVICES
The Process
Guided psilocybin sessions are offered in a safe, legal, and supportive setting. The process unfolds in four connected phases: screening, preparation, administration, and integration. Each phase supports safety, informed consent, psychological readiness, and the space to reflect on what the experience may be showing you afterward.
Screening
Screening begins with a conversation to determine whether this work is appropriate for you at this time. This is an opportunity to ask questions, share what is bringing you to this work, and begin exploring whether psilocybin services feel like a possible fit.
What screening may include:
Review of relevant medical and mental health history
Discussion of current medications and possible contraindications
Consideration of your support system, current stability, and readiness
Exploration of your hopes, intentions, expectations, and concerns
Determination of whether services are appropriate and within my scope
Important note:
Not everyone who inquires will be eligible to move forward. Screening is part of keeping this work safe, appropriate, and responsible.
Preparation
Before the medicine session, we'll spend time getting to know one another, talking through your questions, and helping you feel prepared for what to expect. My hope is that you arrive feeling informed, supported, and as comfortable as possible.
Preparation may include:
Clarifying hopes and intentions for the experience
Discussing set and setting
Reviewing informed consent, expectations, boundaries, and scope of practice
Learning about possible psilocybin effects, risks, and discomforts
Developing grounding and self-regulation tools
Preparing mentally, physically, and emotionally for the session
The goal is not to control the experience or force a specific outcome. Preparation helps you enter the process with more awareness and support, and a stronger connection to what you may want to bring into the journey.
Administration
Administration is the medicine session itself. The medicine session is a guided, multi-hour experience taking place in a licensed, controlled environment, with a pre-session check-in, confirmation of consent, and ongoing support throughout.
The session may include:
Time to settle into the space before the medicine is administered
Pillows, blankets, water, eyeshades, headphones, and other comfort items
A quiet, cozy, and grounded environment
Soft lighting, minimal distractions, and curated music
Non-directive support throughout the experience
Monitoring for psychological and physiological safety
Gentle re-orientation and initial reflection as the session closes
Most of the session is inward-focused. I remain present throughout to support safety and comfort while allowing the experience to unfold without directing, interpreting, or influencing what happens internally.
Integration
Integration is where the journey begins to meet daily life. This is the space to reflect on what the experience may be showing you, identify insights or themes, and explore how the experience may connect to real-life patterns, behaviors, relationships, and next steps.
Integration may include:
Open-ended reflection and discussion
Exploration of emotions, images, memories, insights, or themes
Support in understanding what the experience means for your life
Guidance around applying insights in real-life contexts
Reflection on patterns, behaviors, or relationships that may want to shift
Nervous system support and continued emotional processing
Without integration, insights may fade or remain abstract. Integration helps bridge the gap between the medicine experience and everyday life.
Why This Process Matters
This work is not designed as a one-time or quick solution. Each phase supports a safer, more intentional experience and helps reduce the likelihood that the journey feels confusing, destabilizing, or disconnected from daily life.
-
Screening helps identify medical or psychological risks and determine whether this work is appropriate at this time.
-
Preparation helps you understand what to expect, ask questions, give informed consent, and build trust in the process.
-
Grounding tools, preparation, and clear expectations support your ability to navigate challenging moments if they arise.
-
Meaningful change happens when insights are reflected on and applied over time. Integration helps translate the experience into daily life.
