Natural Medicine Support for Grief, PTSD, and Those Seeking Meaningful Change

Psilocybin administration, preparation, and integration services offered in a grounded, intentional setting.

At Southwest Healing Center, natural medicine is used to open a door into altered states of consciousness, where defenses may soften and new perspectives can emerge. This work is not a quick fix. Your experience takes place in a carefully prepared, safe, supportive environment, with attention given to what happens before, during, and after the medicine session.

Why Natural Medicine?

Psilocybin can temporarily shift how people access emotion, memory, perspective, and connection. Research suggests psilocybin may temporarily increase the brain's ability to form new connections and adapt, sometimes called neuroplasticity. Psilocybin medicine is a way to enter altered states of consciousness, where defenses may soften and new perspectives can become more available. With screening, preparation, administration, and integration, you'll be supported before, during, and after the medicine session.

THE EXPERIENCE

A Grounded, Intentional Approach to Psilocybin Services

Southwest Healing Center offers natural medicine services for adults seeking a deeper, more intentional way to explore grief, trauma, depression, anxiety, and relational challenges.

Through the use of psilocybin, participants are supported through a guided, multi-hour experience, with preparation beforehand and integration afterward.

Before the experience, time is spent exploring readiness, reviewing medical and mental health history, discussing set and setting, and clarifying what the participant may want to bring into the journey.

The other woman, on the right, has brown hair tied back with a flower hair clip, wearing a denim jacket and floral pants. They are positioned near a table with potted plants and framed landscape art on the wall behind them. The conversation appears to be engaged and expressive.

THE PROCESS

How This Work Unfolds

The process unfolds in four connected phases. Each phase matters, and helps create a safe, intentional experience.

Screening

We begin with a conversation and structured screening to determine whether this work is appropriate, safe, and within scope at this time.

Preparation

Preparation supports readiness, intention setting, risk awareness, and a clear understanding of the process before the medicine session begins.

Administration

Administration is the medicine session itself, taking place in a safe, legal, and supportive setting with non-directive support throughout.

Integration

Integration helps you understand what the experience means for your life and connect insights, emotions, and themes to daily life afterward.

Meet Maura Nolan, MA, NMIT, LPC

My name is Maura, and I’m a licensed professional counselor and licensed natural medicine facilitator. Based in the beautiful landscape of the American Southwest, I provide natural medicine services to individuals, couples, and small groups looking for deeper connection with themselves and a door to healing. While I am licensed as a therapist in New York, Colorado, and Utah, my role within Southwest Healing Center is solely as a licensed natural medicine facilitator and administrator.

Working as a therapist for a decade, I have trained and practiced in several modern healing modalities, including EMDR, IFS, and somatic therapy. I also worked in wilderness therapy for many years, learning lessons and healing through nature alongside my clients.
